Deaf Ministry

The Deaf Ministry Team supports the Deaf members of our church and community.  We desire to  reach out to all Deaf people, to share the Gospel, to grow in discipleship, and to provide spiritual growth for the deaf community.

In order for this to happen, we encourage our Deaf members to be actively involved in our worship gathering, belong to a small group, and be involved as much as possible in our church’s ministries.

Worship Gathering

Sign Language Interpreted Services – Interpreters are here to serve every Sunday morning during the 11:00 Worship Gathering.

Deaf Worship Service- On the third Sunday of each month, a separate Deaf Worship Service is offered. During this time, all music is led by the Deaf Ministry team and the Bible Story is explained and acted out in ASL.

Life Groups

We encourage all Deaf members of our church and community to get plugged into a ministry at Curtis as soon as possible. Through our Worship Gathering and small-group classes, every person who comes to Curtis is provided an opportunity to build key relationships that can last a lifetime. Life Groups are a place to be renewed in your faith; to realize your purpose in life; and to relate with others in a similar stage of life.

Life Group– The Deaf Life Group Class is offered at 9:00AM and meets in room B-104E. This Bible study is signed in American Sign Language (ASL).

*Monthly fellowships are also planned.
