The annual GAP Christmas Shoppe was was held on December 10, 2008. It was a wonderful day! Thanks to all of you who donated numerous items to make this a very special day for our GAP members. The GAP Ministry exists to bridge the gap between the church and the community by building relationships with women from low-income communities and teaching them Biblical, practical life skills. We strive to fill the gap by helping to…  Generate A Plan for your home(Matthew 6:33) Give A Purpose to your family (Ephesians 4:31-32) Grow A Person who follows God (Romans 12:2) Grasp A Promise found in Jesus (Ephesians 1:18) Ladies of any age are invited to meet with us weekly on Wednesdays from 9:45 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. We currently run two semesters of classes, each concluding with a special event to reward the ladies for their attendance and participation. The first is from September to December, ending with a Christmas Shoppe, and the second is from January to May, concluding with a Spring Yard Sale.  Areas of service
in this outreach to our community include caring for the children of
workers and participants, donating appropriate items for the two
special events, providing refreshments for our weekly class, helping
transport ladies to and from class, and becoming a prayer partner for
one of the active participants. |
