Whether it’s as a family or as a Small Group, serving our community is a great way to share God’s love in a tangible way. He has strategically placed Curtis Baptist Church in an area of the city with opportunities to minister in unique ways. Take the time to look through the opportunities below to see where you might be able to serve.

GAP Ministry

Opportunities to serve include:

  • Women are needed in the Preschool Childcare area
  • Volunteers to provide weekly refreshments
  • Men are needed to drive buses and women to assist on buses
  • Special Events
  • Publicity/Promotion
  • Women are needed to serve as Small Group Leaders**

 

**To qualify, you must be an adult over the age of 18 and a member of Curtis Baptist Church. You will also be required to complete a Community Missions Volunteer Profile (CMVP) and asked to attend an orientation and training sessions before serving. In addition, you will be asked to commit to and be involved and active on a regular basis.

Food Pantry

Opportunities to serve include:

  • Donations of food
  • Stocking
  • Distribution Team
  • Publicity/Promotion

Donations

For your convenience, a list is available of commonly needed items along with green, reusable canvas bags are located in the Ministry Center. The drop off locations for your donations are in The Ministry Center and at the Elevator Entrance in the back of the worship center or stop by the Ministry Center for assistance.

Donations

We ask that all donations be seasonal items (clothing, socks and shoes) that are in good, clean, ready-to-wear condition. Only new undergarments for men can be accepted.
