Consuming Love

Luke 5:16 “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”

I wonder if Jesus modeled prayer for us because He knew we would need God’s filling love in the lonely places of life? Prayer in the lonely place is where I have best found the full love of God. I think God puts me in lonely spots sometimes so I will slow down and see my enormous, gaping need for His LOVE. If my life is constant activity and people, I can lose sight of my need for His all consuming love.

Unlimited Forgiveness

Matthew 18:21-22: ‘Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”’

That means 490 times! His grace is truly limitless.
