Serve Nationallyoikyaz9iq

Following Jesus’ words and commands in Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8, Curtis Baptist has sent numerous members, students, and teams, not just all over the world, but all over the United States- our Judea and Samaria. There are several opportunities for people of all ages to participate in these national mission projects. It is not limited to adults- students are encouraged to come, as well. God’s command to serve is for EVERYONE! Check out some of the information about these opportunities, which can be found below.

There are several ways to receive more information about these trips, including filling out this form online or checking out our Missions Mall in our church. The Missions Mall provides information on upcoming projects, prayer guides, and much other information for anyone interested in Missions. There are also pictures and videos sharing information about recent projects. It is located in the Hallway connecting the Harris and Bradley buildings, behind the sanctuary, near the “circle” driveway.

Family Mission Project

For the last several summers we have sent teams to partner with Crossroads Community Church in Stearns, Kentucky, for a week. This project offers the option of serving in The Lord’s Cafe or on Construction/ Home Repair teams throughout the Stearns community. This trip usually occurs in the last half of July. Be on the lookout for infomation, as project dates and details are usually available early in the year.

CSM Students Mission Projects

We serve our community through mission projects and various outreach projects, seeking to share the good news of Jesus Christ in everything that we do. The goal of our ministry is to know and love God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to learn to live a life completely surrendered to Him. These projects are announced through the CSM Student Ministry webpage, which can be found here.

Previous trips have included community and construction work in Chicago and mystery missions throughout the Tennessee, Georgia, and the Atlanta/ Newnan areas.

Disaster Relief

We have a number of people who are certified to work with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, and we also help to make people aware of service opportunities through Samaritan’s Purse.

Disaster Relief is a ministry-based approach to impacting people for the Kingdom of God.  Their motto of “Serving Christ in Crisis” has two implications:

  1. We serve Christ to those persons who are victims of disaster.

  2. When we minister to persons in need, we are serving Christ Himself (Matthew 25:40).

The goal of Disaster Relief is to provide some measure of normalcy for the victims of a disaster event. Click here to learn more about the Disaster Relief program.
