Prayer is an essential part of what we do at Curtis. It is the way we can communicate with God. We believe that every action we take and every decision we make should be covered in prayer as we seek His will and pray for the needs of others. We offer several opportunities where our members can pray with each other and for those within our church and our community. We also offer a Prayer Wall within our website where you can submit your own prayer requests so that our church may know how to pray for you.

Prayer Room and Prayer Team

The Curtis prayer room is a quiet place to get away from our busy life and pray. It helps us ignore the phone, TV, computer and other modern hindrances to prayer time. You may come here to intercede for the requests placed in the room. During the week the prayer room is open Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Any adult Curtis member can sign up to participate in what we call the Prayer Team. If you would like to join our Prayer Team, you may follow this link and fill out the form that will follow!

The Prayer Team intercedes for others by praying for every individual who turns in a prayer request. The team is focused on creating synergy between all congregational prayer ministries. We consider it a privilege to provide intercessory prayer for your requests throughout the week. You can fill out a card in the worship service, drop a note, fill out this form, or call the church at 706-722-7348 and we will be lifting you up in prayer.

We receive prayer requests via phone calls, e-mails, from the website, and from prayer requests submitted during our church services.

Prayer & Praise Services

Every month we have an evening of prayer & praise in the main auditorium. This is one of the highlights of the month as we gather as a body to lift up requests before our God Who is most worthy of our praise. These services generally begin at 5:00 pm and last around 45 minutes to an hour. Be on the lookout for information on when the next night of Prayer and Praise is going to take place!

Invitation Prayer Ministry

Our ministry seeks to support and guide people toward the next step on their spiritual journey. At the conclusion of most Sunday morning worship services, an invitation is given to come forward and receive immediate prayer or spiritual direction. We have pastors, along with trained men and women, who will briefly meet with those who respond, offering prayer, support, and resources as needed.
